Today we had our final riding lesson at the RDA, and the children had to complete a riding circuit and grooming a pony in order to pass their Grade 1 Riding Certificate. All rode brilliantly - mounting their ponies, dropping a hoop into a basketball net, steering their pony through slalem posts, picking up a plastic duck from a table and dropping it into a basket, negotiating round a circle, trotting and finally standing up in their stirrups and dismounting. They also needed to groom a pony, by brushing them, combing their mane and picking out one of their hooves. All the children completed this successfully and were awarded their Certificate in Celebration Assembly. Well done to you all!
The children planted beans and took cuttings of geraniums this week, to grow new plants. Hopefully we will be able to plant these out in school soon.
